Obituary
Willie Athel Roof, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (April 28, 2011) at his residence.
He was born on October 8, 1930, in Glenmore KY, the son of the late John R. and Bennie Basham Roof. He was retired from the City of Leitchfield for 46 years and a member of the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Pearl Webb Roof, his son, Bobby Glen Hayes (Pam) and his daughter, Mona Hayes both of Leitchfield, a brother and sister, Johnny Roof and Elsie Lindsey both of Big Clifty KY, five grandchildren, Shawn Ray and Billy Ray Decker, Matthew, Cody and Jeremy Hayes and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Ray and Ella Decker and Emma Hayes.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (April 30, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Weedman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mulberry Flats Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
