Wilma Susan Porter, age 95, passed from this life on February 10, 2008. She was born on October 4, 1912 in Illinois, the daughter of Etta (Carter) and Jessie Rankin. She was married to Michael Dinwiddie Porter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Porter; a daughter, Etta Kate Porter; a grandson, Philip Scot Porter; a son-in-law, Barrett Neel; two sisters, Rosalee Garrett and Nellie Deom and two brothers, Ralph and Emerson Rankin.

Survivors include one daughter, Buda Neel; one son, Jesse Hardin (Juanita) Porter, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (February 12, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jack Simons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Porter Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
