Obituary
Winnie Mae McStoots, age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (July 12, 2010) at the Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on June 30, 1928 in the Shrewsbury community on the Dinwiddie Farm, the daughter of the late Will and Felia Hayes Carroll. She was a housewife and homemaker to Widd McStoots and loving mother of Brad and Barb.
A woman of faith and grace and a lady to the end, she always had her door open. She was a member of the New Hope General Baptist church of Sadler.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jo "Barb" Mitchell of Sadler, three grandsons, Joey Mitchell (Brittany) of Sadler, Monty Mitchell (Amy) of Morgantown, KY, and Derek McStoots and a special granddaughter, Laura Cooper, three great granddaughters, Alex Jo, Kinley Marie, and Aubrey Elizabeth Mitchell and one sister, Ruth Carroll Decker of Leitchfield. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Widd, a son Brad and a daughter-in-law Colleen McStoots.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday (July 15, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Ernie Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope-Sadler Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 12:00p.m to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
