Daniel Dermitt

Owner, Funeral Director and Pre-Need Counselor

Daniel Dermitt, the youngest son of Roger and Chris Dermitt, graduated from Georgetown College in 2003. After spending several years working with adults with special needs in Louisville, he returned to Grayson County to begin working with his family. Shortly thereafter, he attended Mid America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana, graduating with honors in March of 2011. Daniel received his Funeral Director's License in December of 2011 and began working as our Pre-Need Counselor in January of 2012. In 2017, Daniel became the third generation owner of Dermitt Funeral Home continuing the legacy started by his Grandfather, Father, and Uncle.

Roger and Chris Dermitt

Former Owner/Funeral Director/Embalmer

Roger Dermitt, founder and second generation owner, graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in 1970. In 1969 he, along with his father and brother, established Dermitt Funeral Home. He is a Deacon at Claggett United Baptist Church and a member of the McDonald Road Bluegrass Band. Chris Dermitt retired from Buckles, Travis, Vanmeter, and Hart PLLC. She serves as the funeral home bookkeeper. Chris and Roger have been married since May of 1969. Together they have faithfully served Grayson and the surrounding counties.

Jerry & Judy Dermitt

Retired Funeral Directors/Embalmers

Jerry Dermitt started his funeral career in 1966 by completing school requirements at the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. He began working with Sego Funeral Home in Munfordville and with Ellis Funeral Home in Leitchfield until he, his father, and brother founded the Dermitt Funeral Home in 1969. Judy Sanders Dermitt is the wife of Jerry and was an active part of the staff since the Dermitt Funeral Home began, serving as a licensed Funeral Director. Jerry and Judy reside in Caneyville, KY.

Beverly Stevenson

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Beverly Stevenson is a life-long resident of Grayson County. At Dermitt Funeral Home Beverly serves as licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She graduated from Leitchfield High School and received her mortuary education at Mid-America College of Funeral Service, where she graduated with honors and was the salutatorian of her class, as well as president of Pi Sigma Eta Fraternity. Beverly is a member of Church of Joy in Leitchfield.

Tina Dermitt-Milliner

Office Manager

Tina Dermitt Milliner, the daughter of Roger and Chris Dermitt, has been an integral part of the Dermitt Funeral Home since 2018. She serves as funeral home office manager and insurance specialist. Prior to joining her family, she was the owner of Educational Ladder daycare and private preschool center. She and her husband Tim reside in Leitchfield, KY and are members of Claggett United Baptist Church.

Brad & Brandy Dermitt

Brad and Brandy Dermitt are integral parts of the Dermitt Funeral Home. Brad, the oldest son of Roger and Chris Dermitt, is currently a deputy jailer with the Grayson County Detention Center. Brandy is a teacher at Clarkson Elementary school. Brad and Brandy are a vital part of the visitation experience. They are members of Claggett United Baptist Church and reside in Tar Hill, KY.

Samantha Milliner-Bullock

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Samantha Bullock, the oldest granddaughter of Roger and Chris Dermitt, has been with Dermitt Funeral Home since 2020. She is a 2022 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service. At Dermitt Funeral Home, she serves as a fourth-generation licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Samantha is married to Jacob Bullock and resides in Brownsville, KY. She is a member of Claggett United Baptist Church.

Stephen Keys

Transportation and Removal Specialist

Stephen Keys has been with Dermitt Funeral since 2022. He is a retired music educator of 23 years. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and George Mason University. Stephen serves the funeral home as licensed transportation and removal specialist. He is married to Kim Whobrey Keys and resides in Sadler, KY. They are members of New Harmony United Baptist Church where he is a deacon.

Adam Decker

Transportation and Removal Specialist

Adam Decker has been with the Dermitt Funeral Home since 2024. He is a graduate of Grayson County High School and Western Kentucky University. He is a veteran of the United States Navy. Adam serves the funeral home as a transportation and removal specialist. He is married to Kelly Houchins Decker and resides in Caneyville, KY with their daughter, Cora. They are members of Pleasant Union (Wilson) United Baptist Church, where he is the Treasurer and Clerk.

Myron and Sherry Weedman of Caneyville, KY have been employed with the Dermitt Funeral Home since 2019. They are a vital part of the visitation experience. Myron and Sherry are members of Open Valley United Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. Edward Dermitt

In Memoriam - Funeral Director

Bro. Edward Dermitt started his career in 1950’s with the Ellis Funeral Home and received his funeral director's license. His dream was to start his own business. When his sons had completed their funeral education, they founded Dermitt Funeral Home in 1969. Bro. Dermitt was an ordained minister. He passed away on December 31, 2011. He was married to Ruby Yates Dermitt. She was a housewife and helped establish the Dermitt Funeral Home. She was a member of Claggett United Baptist Church. She passed away on October 12, 2012.

In Memoriam

An integral part of the visitation experience, Boyd was a beloved and dedicated member of the funeral home staff from 2010 until his untimely passing in January 2019.
